We have been back in the states for 2 months now and we are still talking about our wonderful trip to the Amalfi Coast. The best thing we did for ourselves was to get in touch with you...you were our "Hi-Lite" on the coast. Having only 3 days, we didn't want to waste time driving ourselves (plus...the mountains should only be tackled by a Pro). You took us to the most sensational towns, the best coastal views, great restaurants, and the most reasonable ceramic stores in your area. You really saved us lots of time and plenty of money.

We had other drivers in Tuscany who were very knowledgeable...but none as good looking as you!! That was an extra added bonus.

I will gladly tell everyone going to Amalfi to call. Thanks so much. We are thinking of returning to that rental Villa on the mountain overlooking the Sea. So we may be calling you sooner than you think.

Our group of 12 used your service during our recent cruise. Max and Luca picked us up at the dock in Livorno for our day in Florence and Lucca. Roberto and Giovanni met us in Naples for our day in Pompei and the Amalfi coast. The drivers, guides, and lunch recommendations were all first rate. We had an absolutely fabulous time at both locations. Molto bene!! Our group's only regret was that we hadn't arranged to have our Rome excursion through Benvenuto. We'll definitely call them when we return.

Giovanni, we just returned from our wonderful trip and what you to know how terrific your service was in the 3 ports we planned. Each driver was excellent and made our tours in Florence, Naples and Rome 3 days we will never forget! We hope to return next year and will use your service again!

Our lunch at the little restaurant you took us to near Positano is one that we are still talking about. To eat al fresco next to the beach in that gorgeous protected cove made us feel like we had left out hectic lives in the USA very far behind us. We were transported to another world.

My family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed your services. Your driver not only arrived before our scheduled time, but also gave us a peaceful ride from Firenze to Roma. Your second driver for our drive from Roma to Pompeii was also wonderful. The tour guide in Pompeii was professional and patient with us. And our last driver from Napoli to the airport was also on time. Our 3 children enjoyed the most was having a minivan for extra space to take a nap. My hiusband & I enjoyed the most of you services were: your drivers were on time and professional. We have no regrets and feel our money was well spent. If we ever go back to Italy we most certainly use your services again.

Max in Florence was entertaining and knowledgeable about Florence, Maurizio made Rome an exciting city making us feel like we were getting the grand tour and Giovanni in Naples showed us some of the most beautiful sites on the Almalfi Coast and took us to a great Italian restaurant. It is very nice that you have inquired about our recent excursion with you to see Positano/Praiano/Amalfi coast/Ravello. We had a wonderful, relaxing day touring the Amalfi coast area with you. We were very pleased with your services, and I have already recommended Benvenuto Chauffeur Services to other travelers who inquire on-line about hiring a driver. I will definitely contact Benvenuto again when I plan my second trip to Italy! We miss Italy already…

I think it is a very good idea that you are asking your clients for comments. As I want to be helpful, I will tell you what we enjoyed and how you could improve, though I would like to say you are already great!

My husband and I appreciated how reliable Benvenuto was. First, Giovanni answered my many e-mails and my millions of questions, when I was planning our first trip to Italy. This was very helpful. I felt that we were in good hands even before we arrived in Italy.

Second, our driver, Giovanni, was on-time, which is a great start. He was dressed very professionally. Giovanni was younger than I had expected…he sounds so professional by e-mail that I expected him to be older! Giovanni’s manners were very polite and professional. He also knew where he was going, he really knew his way around.

Giovanni was an excellent and careful driver, which put me at ease…I didn’t have to worry. My husband was able to enjoy himself as well, since he didn’t have to drive. I had heard that the Amalfi coast is a terrible, scary drive, but Giovanni drives skillfully and carefully. I was relaxed.

We enjoyed hearing the stories and information about the sights which Giovanni was explaining. It was great to be able to stop often to see the views and to take pictures.

For me, it was very helpful to have a local driver who could point the way to the nearest toilet stops!

The whole family enjoyed having lunch on the small beach of Praiano, away from the tourist crowds. The seafood was good and the prices reasonable, and it was very pleasant having lunch right next to a small beach. The restaurant owner was very friendly. An excellent recommendation by Giovanni.

We very much enjoyed stopping at the limoncello factory in Praiano and buying some souveneirs to take home! The young man working at the limoncello factory was also very nice and welcoming.

The price we paid for the full-day excursion to Amalfi coast/Positano/Praiano/Ravello, 350 euros, was fair…though I think that some of your competitors would have done it for less. This is a problem when the customer is sitting at home and getting prices quoted, there isn’t any way to know about the quality of service, unless there is another customer on-line recommending a particular driver. But the customer will be tempted to take the cheapest offer.

The price quoted for the other excursion, from Rome to Pompeii/Vesuvius, and then ending at our new hotel in Sorrento, was too high…we were quoted 650 euros by Benvenuto. We didn’t want to pay this much for 1 day. Another driver quoted us 450 for the same trip. I booked the cheaper driver for the Rome to Sorrento excursion (however, he was the one who didn’t show up at our hotel in Rome, unfortunately! But his company did offer an explanation and gave us a free ride to the train station on another day of our trip to make up for their mistake.)

I had already booked the Positano/Amalfi coast/Praiano/Ravello day-tour with Benvenuto when the other driver, who was cheaper, indicated he was available for that day as well. I knew he would probably have bid a cheaper price than Benvenuto, since he was cheaper for the trip from Rome to Sorrento. However, Giovanni had made me feel confident about Benvenuto through our e-mail correspondence. That is one thing that was not comforting about the other company…The man who corresponded with me by e-mail was NOT the same man that they would be giving me as a driver. So basically our driver with the other company was a total stranger and I couldn’t directly ask him any questions. This is one advantage that Benvenuto gave me…indicating that Giovanni, who was corresponding with me and answering all my questions and knew what I wanted, might be my driver…

Therefore I decided to keep the 2 different drivers for the 2 different excursions…Benvenuto for the Amalfi coast drive and the other company for the Rome to Sorrento drive.

I was thinking, if one of these drivers turns out to be unreliable, I would prefer to have him only for one day!!!

I would recommend Benvenuto for anyone looking for an excellent chauffeur service in Italy! I hope that we may see you again on our next trip.

Umberto was a wonderfully skillful and passionate guide to Positano, Ravello, and the Amalfi Coast. The pace with which we moved from place to place was absolutely perfect, and his knowledge of the area was vast and his explanation of local history was excellent. We saw everything we wanted to see -- and then some! Yet we never felt rushed.
Also, Umberto took us to an absolutely delightful
ristorante for lunch! A memory of which we will treasure always. We adored Umberto's sense of humor and enjoyed laughing and joking with him. We also felt that he had genuine passion for the area. Our only regret is that we did not get to take a photo with Umberto prior to departing.
